Blessed and Inspired

It's funny how different people measure happiness and joy.  Even in business, the concept of what "success" has become skewed and corrupted.  We live in a world mostly populated of the idea that money has a direct correlation to success and happiness.  Yes, life sometimes gives us dark clouds and rainy days, but its because of those dark times, we can appreciate the good times in the sun.

Even with negative events dominating our nightly news and headlines, there are still amazing, kind, warm-hearted people out there making a positive impact in their communities and all around the globe.  I had the amazing honor of meeting such people throughout my life and having the opportunity to share stories, laughs and prayers with them.  This past week, I've been especially blessed and inspired through my time/conversations with a few select individuals.  Through those moments, time slowed down and was reminded on how fortunate I am to have people with such passion, drive and conviction in my life.

We are gifts given to each other.  People helping people leading to more people helping people is a beautiful cycle.  GETclothing is driven to spread that vision into as many people/communities/states/countries as possible through the means of designs and clothing.  Please join us in this movement: GETclothing. give a life.

Thank you to those people with a heart to help others even when their situation isn't ideal.  Keep pressing and fighting to make a positive impact.  The world is better for people like you.

God Bless,
Joe Kim

PS - Received a direct message from Jin Tha MC (www.ayojin.com) and Eugene Cho (www.onedayswages.com).  Very cool of them and very encouraging.

The Future is Now

Met at Hard Candy Studios (http://www.candyfitness.com - contact for personal training, speed/performance classes and/or hip hop classes taught by a member of the boogie bots!) in Fairfax.  Had a great initial meeting to go over future prospects and projects.  Stay tuned to 2010 for new and exciting events!

Also will be meeting with Photoria Studios (http://iphotoria.squarespace.com - contact for video/photography, editing needs and much more!) to discuss an art & music show to be held in December.  Will include amazing music, art, specialty cupcakes/cakes, etc all by amazing people.  Stay tuned for that as well!

All in all, been a very productive week, but much more hard work lays ahead.  Combining hard work with your dreams/convictions/aspirations will result in reality.  What you aspire to do or aspire to be, do with a purpose and let it benefit not only in the financial sense but use your success to help others, especially those who can not help themselves.

Such companies like, TOMS SHOES (http://www.tomsshoes.com) & One Day's Wages (http://www.onedayswages.org) excel in giving back to not only THEIR community, but to people all around the world.  Please take time to look into what they do and if you feel compelled or convicted to contribute, please support.  Hopefully one day, this company can be associated with such organizations with the purpose to aid others, or even to be able to work side by side with them.

Enjoy the rest of the weekend world.  Tonight's fight shall be interesting...Go Manny!

In the beginning.

Hello World!  Today is the first ever blog of GET clothing.  Hopefully in a couple of years, I will be blogging about how the company is impacting lives all around the world!

Heres a quick recap of what we stand for:
GET is a clothing company (primarily tshirts at this point)motivated and dedicated to provide a better life for those in need.  We offer designs (coming soon) and take in custom orders (available now! please email or contact me if you need your orders processed - get.tshirts@gmail.com).  We devote ourselves to help those who can not help themselves through the proceeds we earn from our products.  We are currently looking for organizations to partner with in order to achieve our goals to help those who can not help themselves.  In a couple of years, we aim to travel to wherever we are partnered with (in talks with Indonesia and Sudan villages) and deliver clean water, clothes, shoes and medicine by hand with the team of GET in order to see first hand the difference we are making.  As well, to see the conditions of many all around the world who are in need of the basic necessities of survival in order to come back home and raise awareness.  If you are interested or convicted and want to contribute or support, please feel free to contact me.

Today was a very productive day.  Worked straight through the day from "morning" (my definition of morning might differ from yours) until now (with the occasional lunch, dinner breaks).  Definitely blessed to have amazing people in my life and blessed to have God deliver them to me, especially today.  Worked on a couple of mock logos, designs and scheduled 4 business related meetings for this/next week.

Will blog later with more detail, but stay tuned!
